Connecting kids.
Building relationships. Changing lives.
REACH empowers at-risk youth through mentorship, outdoor adventures, after-school programs, and summer camp. By creating safe, supportive spaces where young people can grow and thrive, REACH helps them build confidence, develop resilience, and unlock their full potential.
Our mission.
REACH connects at-risk youth and builds relationships that can ultimately change lives. By providing consistent, safe, and nurturing environments, REACH gives at-risk youth the opportunity to experience unconditional love, meaningful support, and hope for a brighter future.
At REACH, we believe that even one consistent, caring relationship can change the trajectory of a young person’s life. Throughout our programs, we create predictable environments where kids feel seen, supported, and valued—surrounded by mentors who show up, listen, and believe in them. Through that foundation, young people build confidence, develop life skills, and begin to imagine a brighter future.
REACH is an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit currently serving more than 150 disadvantaged and underserved youth across Western Connecticut. All programs are offered at no cost to families, removing barriers and ensuring full access for every child.
How we do it.
Year-round programs that create opportunity, connection, and growth.
Summer Camps
Full-day academics, arts, and athletics with watersport adventures. Camp helps youth build confidence, teamwork, and resilience while enjoying safe, structured outdoor fun.
After-School Programs
A consistent space for learning, socializing, and decompression. Kids receive academic support, participate in team activities, and share meals—all in a safe and predictable environment.
Outdoor Expeditions
Weekend adventures throughout the year that challenge youth to step outside their comfort zones, providing them with opportunities to build resilience and create lasting memories.
Mentorship
One-on-one mentor relationships that build trust, belonging, and positive decision-making. Kids develop social-emotional skills while participating in electives that strengthen connections.
Why it matters.
We create safe, trusted spaces where young people can be themselves, feel supported, and start believing in their potential. Through consistent mentorship and intentional programming, youth can develop confidence, empathy, emotional regulation, and necessary social skills.
We remove barriers—financial, logistical, or otherwise—so every child has the opportunity to grow, explore, and succeed. By offering a long-term, consistent presence from fourth through twelfth grade, we help youth navigate challenges, plan for the future, and experience a sense of belonging that can last a lifetime.
REACH programs do more than provide activities—they change lives.
How you can help.
REACH relies on the generosity of supporters to sustain it’s current programs. Whether you contribute your time, your resources, or simply stay informed, your support helps provide stability and growth to the youth who need it most.
